Wow! I just realized how long it has been since I have posted. I have been reading of course, mostly my new favorite serieses, but I've snuck in a couple of others too.
One that you will enjoy is A Picture for Marc. Why will I enjoy it you ask? First, it is the shortest book on our list! I know that is important when you have a busy summer planned. Second, it is an interesting book that is written like fiction, but is actually non-fiction. The book is about Marc Chagall, a Russian artist, one of the most influential of the twentieth century. I liked it because it was fast paced and inspiring.
Another I have read is Half Magic, which I have mentioned before. This is an old book, over 25 years old actually, and you can tell when reading it. I like it because it makes you think about what you would wish for, and has you doing a little math! I'd like to know what you think of it, especially compared to many of the popular books written today. Can you tell how writing has changed over the years? What does this tell us about how students have changed?
Have a happy Fourth of July!
